Twenty20 fever to hit UAE from today

Twenty20 cricket, the most sought-after version of the game, will return to the Dubai International Cricket Stadium from Wednesday night, when Pakistan and Australia contest the first of a three-match series for the Bank Alfalah presents Cool & Cool Cup.

The interesting aspect of this series — which features further matches at the same Dubai Sports City venue on September 7 and 10 — is that both the teams are filled with experts in this version of the game.

Australia, led by George Bailey, have players like Shane Watson, David Warner and the Hussey brothers, David and Mike, who can all thrash any bowler with ease.

Pakistan also have aggressive batsmen like Imran Nazir, Kamran Akmal, Shahid Afridi and all-rounder Abdul Razzaq. These are players who can single-handedly tilt the match in their team’s favour.
