UAE weather: End of summer in sight with mercury set to drop

In what will come as some respite to the UAE residents after a searing summer that witnessed the mercury hover around 50°C, the weather forecasters at the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), are now citing a radical drop in temperatures as a sign that summer is over.

The weather has now slightly cooler with average maximum temperatures of 40°C - 42°C.

Temperatures today and tomorrow will average between 40°C - 42°C, with the conditions being partly cloudy.

However, there will be no respite from the humidity, even at night and early in the morning.

In some interior areas of the country, maximum temperatures will continue to range between 42˚C and 46 °C.

The sea will have light to moderate waves.
