Smoking baned in public places in Dubai

public departments in Dubai will become smoke-free environments.Shopping malls can either implement a blanket ban or they can create an area for smokers.The upcoming federal health insurance sheme may add premium costs to smokers as part of the UAE's tobacco control strategy, expected by the end of the year.

China: Consumed 2.38 billion kg of tobacco, roughly the equivalent of 2.38 trillion cigarettes in 2000.
India: Consumed 426.6 million kg, or 427 billion cigarettes. FAO projects growth to 511.4 billion in 2010.
United States: 394 million kg or 394 billion cigarettes. FAO projects a decrease to 393.5 million kg, or 393.5 billion by 2010.
Brazil: 183.7 million kg, or 183.7 billion cigarettes. FAO projects 233.9 million or 240 billion cigarettes in 2010.
Japan: 153.7 million kg, or 154 billion cigarettes.
