A Saudi man parked his car in front of a supermarket in the Gulf Kingdom, left the engine one and nipped inside. Another man, apparently stalking a victim, walked quietly towards the vehicle, jumped in and drove away.
A YouTube film published by Sabq Arabic language daily
showed the thief, wearing a traditional Arabian dishdasha (gown), walked towards
the car just after its owner left it and headed into the shop in the central
town of Onaiza.
It appeared a daring operation as the theft occurred in
the middle of the day before the eyes of other drivers, who apparently were not
aware of the burglary.
“I told the police but they could not reach the thief…I
appeal for anyone who knows this thief to call the police so I will get back my
car which I bought only last month,” said the car owner, Fahd Al Mutairi.
