- Samsung announced the launch of the new Galaxy Note 4, and the Samsung Gear S, the next-generation wearable device that expands the smart phone experience to the wrist.
Dubai: Samsung Electronics showcased its next-generation Note series – Galaxy Note 4 – and Gear S smartwatch in Dubai on Tuesday.
The 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) Super AMOLED display Note 4, blended with an evolved S Pen, will go on sale on October 17th for Dh2,799 and the two-inch curved Super AMOLED S watch for Dh1,299.
Pre-bookings for the devices start from today (Tuesday).

The 4G LTE Note 4, running on 1.9Ghz octa-core processor, has 32GB internal storage capacity, 16MP rear camera and 3.7MP front camera.
A built-in Voice Recorder offers eight different directional voice tagging and a selective playback capability that allows users to isolate and listen to specific voices in a group conversation.

The Gear S is essentially a wrist-mounted smartphone, which is not something new to the industry.
The S watch will work only with Samsung models with minimum 1.5 RAM and on Android 4.3 and above operating system.
