Eid surprise for some UAE private sector employees: 4-day holiday

It’s not only the UAE federal government staff that has got a four-day holiday for Eid, but a few private sector companies have also gifted their employees an extra day for Eid.
“We all were surprised when in the evening we got an email that said our Eid holidays will start from Wednesday,” RH, a person who works for a HR recruitment agency, said.

A large media organisation based in Dubai Media City has also informed their staff of a four-day Eid break, starting from Wednesday.

“We had no clue on whether we would ever get an extra day off. We were informed yesterday that our holiday commences from Wednesday with work resuming on Sunday,” AR, an employee of the company, said.

Even some free zone-based companies working in the oil and gas sector have got Eid holidays from Wednesday.
