An Indian wedding settled in Dubai: Bride's brother-in-law in the dock

A case being heard in the Dubai Criminal Court has all the makings of a Bollywood potboiler - an Indian wedding comprisng a rich bride, poor groom, massive inheritance and a gruesome murder.
A 31-year-old bus driver allegedly killed his compatriot, SK, and disposed his body only because he didn't want the victim marry his wife's sister. The reason for his objection arises from the fact that his wife and her sister are sole legatees of a large sum of money, reports Al Khaleej.
He battered the man's head with a wheel spanner and stabebd him twice with a screwdriver in the neck and huddled the body inside a plastic bag and disposed it off at a construction site in Nad Sheba-4 in February.
The deceased man's friend - an Indian carpenter - testified in court, that on the fateful night SK called him to say that the suspect wanted to meet him. "It was unsual because they had fallen out because of the wedding plans."
Their relationship was embittered after the suspect learnt that SK had cancelled his visa and was returning home to lead a married life with his sister-in-law.
According to Prosecution records, the suspect had planned the murder as he had bought a big plastic bag.
