A paid holiday has been declared for both the public and private sector on
January 24, 2013 to mark Milad Al Nabi,
the birthday of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him).
Ministries and federal departments will remain closed on 12th of Rabi Al
Awwal, 1434 Hijri.
The circular was issued by Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qattami, Minister of
Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human
Resources.
Al Qattami extended greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin
Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Their
Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, people of the
UAE and Muslim countries all over the world on the auspicious occasion.
