What UAE’s internet users are searching for on Google

Here’s an interesting bit of trivia for you: Google stats show that more of UAE’s Internet users are Googling ‘Yahoo’ than those Googling ‘Google’ – got it?

Search engine Google compiles its annual Zeitgeist [http://www.google.co.uk/zeitgeist/] lists measuring the fastest growing search terms throughout the year, and also trends highlighting top searches over a period of time.

More interesting tidbits include the fact that UAE shoppers’ top search term is – take a guess – it’s ‘Dubai’ according to Google. In fact, ‘Dubai’ is also the most searched for term when it comes to people in the UAE looking to travel. No wonder ‘Dubai’ is the most searched term in the country!

These lists all relate to Google searches by UAE internet users. If some of the search terms listed below do not seem to fall under the specified category, blame Google’s categorization for it.
