RAK Airways said it will give away two tickets every day from December 14,
2012 to January 9, 2013 at the Awafi Festival being celebrated in the emirate of
Ras Al Khaimah.
The airline made history as it became the first UAE national carrier to
operate domestic flights into the capital in October.
The route has proved popular with passengers and so the airline has made
the decision to fly daily effective 11 December 2012. It also recently increased
frequency to Calcutta to daily.
In September, RAK Airways and Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways signed an
agreement to codeshare on five flight sectors including, for the first time,
domestic flights in the UAE.
It currently flies to 16 destinations through code-sharing deal with Etihad
Airways.
John Brayford, CEO of RAK Airways, said the airline has put up a stall at
the Awafi Festival and will give away two free tickets each day.
These tickets will be applicable for Abu Dhabi flights
