Wrath of two wives worse than a life term

After serving a 17-year sentence at Dubai Central Jail on murder charges, the prospect of winning his freedom is literally giving a man set to be deported from Dubai sleepless nights.

The Pakistani national was convicted in 1995 along with four others for the premeditated murder of an Indian security guard employed with a refreshment company during a robbery in which the accused fled with Dh71,000.

According to police, two of the Pakistanis involved, Abdul Rahim and Omar Nawas Mohammad Hussain, and a Sir Lankan identified as Sharad Adeela, were given life sentences.
