Dubai man confesses to planting camera in females’ toilet

A man accused of sexual assault has told court that he planted his phone in his company’s female toilet to film his colleagues, the UAE daily newspaper The National reported on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Indian, identified by The National as EA, was caught when his cell phone was found by an Egyptian clerk working at the same company.

“I noticed a red light flashing from under the sink. It was recording so I turned it off," The clerk, referred to as EM, was quoted as saying by The National.

The clerk then checked the phone’s recordings to find that the defendant accidently filmed himself while adjusting the phone.

The defendant is expecting a court verdict on October 7
