- Vehicles change lanes dangerously with merging traffic after an underpass on Shaikh Zayed Road.
 Dubai: A woman in Dubai has got a record number of 257 traffic fines amounting to Dh201,140 within three months.
 According to police, the Bangladeshi woman got most of the fines due to speeding.
 Traffic statistics revealed on Sunday by the General Directorate of Traffic at Dubai Police for the second quarter of 2012, showed that a Syrian woman was ranked second with 288 various traffic fines totalling Dh186,900, while an Egyptian motorist came in third with Dh169,420 in fines and an Indian motorist came in fourth place with Dh137,400. An Iraqi man ranked fifth on the list had fines totalling Dh135,100.
 Major General Mohammad Saif Al Zafein, Director of General Traffic Department of Dubai Police, pointed out that the department will show leniency with offending motorists as long as they cooperate with police.
 He stressed that motorists recorded for their large number of traffic violations have received black points accordingly and although he was unable to pinpoint whose vehicle were confiscated
