Now: Sri Lanka, India in major Olympic showdown

One of the biggest sporting clashes between India and Sri Lanka today is about to kick off in a few hours… and it’s not cricket.

Sports fans from the two sub-continent nations, who are otherwise used to cheering their respective cricket teams are now locking horns in support of badminton players, who emerged winners at Monday’s round of 32 matches of the men’s singles badminton at London Olympics 2012.

The match between 48th seeded Sri Lanka’s Niluka Karunaratne and India’s 21st ranked Parupalli Kashyap, is scheduled for 9:02 am (12:02pm UAE time) at Wembley Arena.
