Spray new skin cells to treat burns, scars

A treatment that "sprays skin" over wounds and disorders is turning heads at a Dubai skin health show.
The ReCell Spray-On Skin procedure uses a syringe nozzle to spray skin cells in a special suspension over the injury, scar or unappealing skin condition.
The sprayed-on cells then naturally grow into healthy skin over time.
The UK technology by Avita Medical is being featured at the Dubai Derma skin health show till March 29.

The technique involves small skin samples taken from the patient's body — close to the skin site to be treated — to maintain the same texture and colour of the new skin tissue growing on.
"Imagine being able to treat burns, improve scars or smooth irregular coloured areas of your body, leaving minimal scarring, simply by having your consultant spray on your own new skin," ReCell's website says.
