Extreme weather closes UAE airport

Extreme weather has caused serious problems across the UAE.

Clouds of suspended dust, blown in from Iraq and Kuwait, has reduced horizontal visibility to 500m in the northern emirates, forcing Fujairah Airport to temporarily suspend all flights and suspend operations.

High winds, which have reached speeds of up to 70k/h, have also made sea conditions extremely hazardous.
