Solar energy-operated abras

The experimental project of transforming operation of two abras to solar energy instead of diesel.

Solar energy-operated abra engines will contribute to reducing pollution level resulting from abra engines (diesel) by 80%, and fuel cost by 65%. This translates into cutting annual fuel bill from Dh3.69 million for diesel consumption to Dh2.214 million for solar energy batteries. The project will also result in reducing the cost of maintaining engines, which amounts to Dh894 thousands, by 40% per annum, in addition to substantial reduction of harmful gas emissions such as carbon monoxide & dioxide emanating from abra engine exhausts
