Hottest day of the year

The UAE experienced its hottest day of the year on Wednesday, with temperatures climbing to 47.4C in Al Ain . The mercury hit 46C in Abu Dhabi and 44C in Dubai. Forecasters are predicting more of the same over the next few days due to hot and dry southerly winds.
