Dubai hybrid taxis

The Dubai government has ordered the introduction of hybrid vehicles into the city's taxi fleet in a bid to cut carbon monoxide emissions and lower pollution levels, reported Gulf News. Hybrids have both an internal combustion engine and an electric motor and use significantly less fuel than conventional vehicles Dubai will follow the likes of London, Chicago and New York which have already brought in hybrid taxis.
